When I was a teenager working on getting my license I took Drivers Ed with someone who didn’t care about me or my struggles. Growing up with severe anxiety, this was terrifying. Dave helped me find driving time that worked with my crazy work schedule and with when I had childcare for my toddler. (Not an easy feat.) He never pushed me past what I was comfortable with and talked me through everything calmly. If I would make a mistake, he would say something like, ‘okay next time let’s try this,’ never making me feel bad for making errors.
