SVDS

• SVDS is closing in early June 2024 and has no openings for individual instruction.  Its final teen class concluded in July 2022.
• 2018 AWD Subaru Impreza with passenger-side brake.
• One-person operation—David Kolkebeck is sole owner, instructor (class and car), administrator—for quality control.
• Serves Brattleboro area alone.
• Aims for crash-free driving with a system called extraordinary zone control to handle all driving situations.

 

David Kolkebeck

• Driver Educator @ Twin Valley High School, Whitingham, Vt., 2014-15.
• Classroom and in-vehicle instructor @ Putney firehouse for Westminster Driving School, 2013-15 Summers.
• Started SVDS late in 2015 following death of his friend and fellow driving instructor, Mike Henkle of Westminster Driving School.
• 25-year high school teaching career with stints also as dean of students, social studies teacher, and internship coordinator.
• Licensed and insured, perfect safety record.
